Looked everywhere for something with exactly 6 slots per sheet. Found many with 9 and 4 but I was trying to keep an anachronism card set safe. They are in quantities of exactly 5 so this is the best setup with that in mind. A few of the pages had some light scuff marks on them but that is nitpicky at best and in no way effects the usefulness or anything you decide to store in it. Funny enough, it had exactly the amount of space for the whole first season on the left half, leaving a few empty pockets which is no biggie. Second season should fit nicely in the right. Thanks guys! I will be picking up more of these as I need them.

Really nice quality feels good in the hands. I have seen several card binders and this is by far the best made. Usually you just have to get a nice binder and put sleeves in it because the ones made for cards are not that great not this one it’s awesome!

From the first time I seen them to the countless other people that have asked me where I got them, these binders should be the norm for any and all CCG player and collector. I have 7 of them now.

This binder is outstanding. I’m fairly new to MtG, but I knew I never wanted a binder because it seemed like turning the floppy pages was just asking for an accident that bends my cards. Also, a lot of them don’t have secure closing mechanisms, most relying on simple elastic bands and some without anything keeping it closed at all. Then my friend introduced me to Pirate Lab via Tolarian Community College and I have to say, this binder completely calmed any worries I had about binders.

The binder is set up in a nice split format, meaning the pages are anchored on edges of the binder instead of in the center like most binders. This unique design was necessary because they split the standard 4×4 binder pages into 2×4. The shorter horizontal length of the pages makes all the difference here. Everything feels much more stable when turning pages and I’m not afraid that my cards are going to bend when the page accidentally bends.

Another great aspect of this binder is that it hold penny sleeved cards. This is outstanding because I use it mainly to store tokens and Mythic rarity cards and I like to make sure these are sleeved at all times. And since it fits penny sleeves, you can infer it that is also stores double sleeved cards. This is excellent for storing expensive cards I’ve been lucky to draw.

The cards load in sideways as well. I love this aspect because it feels more secure and my penny sleeved cards aren’t going to slip out as easily. And they always load from the middle of the page. So the left column of the page has an opening on the right and vice versa for the left. This combined with the fairly rigid shell of the binder means that when I have it zipped up, I don’t have to be super gentle with the binder for worry of cards sliding out.

But, even if they did, IT HAS A ZIPPER! This is the cherry on top of an already great binder.

As far as negatives go, it doesn’t hold a ton of cards. But for my needs, 480 will last me a while. And the price is super reasonable at $25 so buying another if I needed it, say if I wanted to store Rares in a binder as well, I wouldn’t break the bank. Other binders are much cheaper, but the protection this provides is more than worth the extra cost.

Another negative is that it doesn’t store top loaders… yeah, I had to reach for that one, but it would have been awesome if it could store those bulky monstrosities for extra protection on some of my luckier draws (Snapcaster Mage and Cavern of Souls, both worth upwards of $40 at any given time).

Pie in the sky wishes aside, I cannot recommend this binder enough. Looking through my friend’s binders vs looking through my new Pirate Labs one is no comparison. The protection is just top notch.

I bought this on a whim after I learned it was available, and I have a new favorite binder now.
